Submissions for Doxacon Seattle 2023

As the holiday season approaches, we’re also casting our minds forward to Doxacon 2023. Our theme will be Pilgrims, Travelers, and Wanderers: What is Home? – we’re planning on gathering in-person at the Brightwater Center on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

“Aliens, humans, and personhood” presentation from the Doxacon Seattle 2015

A large part of what makes a convention successful are the speakers & presenters, which leads us to the point of this post: proposals for presentations! Is there an intersection of faith and your favorite fandom that you’d like to explore? Perhaps you’ve got a skill you’d like to share and help others develop – writing, DM-ing, painting, composing…. the sky is the limit! We would be delighted to have you share your thoughts, skills, and enthusiasm with other members of Doxacon Seattle!

To make your proposal, please send a simple write-up to submissions@doxaconseattle.com. Generally, a single page is sufficient, though all submissions should include the following:

  • Your name and contact info
  • A short description of your presentation
  • A short biography of yourself.

We’re looking for dynamic & engaging speakers, interesting panels, workshop leaders – ideally connected in some way to this coming year’s theme. The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2023.

For further information on proposals, check out our guidelines page. We hope to hear from you soon!
